Day 1: December 20

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport and transfer to a hotel/guesthouse in Nazareth.

Day 2: December 21

Highlights: Church of Annunciation, Nazareth Village re-creation, Quality time in Nazareth

After a recuperative night’s rest and a relaxing breakfast, your guide will lead you into the depths of the ancient city of Nazareth. You will visit the Church of Annunciation where the Virgin Mary was informed of her divine calling by the angel Gabriel, and other sites honoring the mother of Jesus. Evening activities include Christmas tree viewing, live music, hand-made craft shopping, and educational experiences.

Day 3: December 22

Highlights: Wedding and Miracle at Cana, Mt of Transfiguration, Mt of Beatitudes

You will walk on the ground where the miracles and teachings of Christ took place. The morning begins at the Wedding Church at Cana, where you can renew your wedding vows, if you choose. After visiting the Mt of Transfiguration, you will enjoy lunch on the pier in Tiberias followed by a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. The afternoon is spent at locations like the Mt of Beatitudes and the 12 Apostles Church. You will then depart for Bethlehem for the remainder of your trip.

Day 4: December 23

Highlights: Church of the Nativity, Shepherd’s Field

Explore the sweet town of Bethlehem for an entire day. Take time to reflect at the Church of the Nativity, the proposed birthplace of Jesus. The open spaces of Shepherd’s Field will stir your imagination. A visit to Theodosius Monastery, where the Three Wise Men rested and gathered strength for their journey, completes the afternoon. The evening is spent caroling and handing out gifts in Manger Square.

Day 5: December 24, Christmas Eve

Highlights: New Friends, New Traditions

Personalize your Holy Land adventure with a host family. As you are partnered with a local, English-speaking Christian family, they will share their Christmas traditions with you. This is a unique opportunity to learn new customs, make new friends, and enjoy the hospitality of the Holy Land.

Day 6: December 25, Christmas Day

Highlights: Mt of Olives, Western Wall, Via Dolorosa, Holy Sepulcher Church

Wake up to the joy of Christmas morning, and step into this never-to-be-forgotten treasure of spending Christmas Day in the Holy Land. The Mt of Olives offers a panoramic view of Jerusalem including the Golden Gate. From this vantage point, you can walk to the Ascension place of Jesus and the Garden of Gethsemane. Pause for a time of reflection on this historical day. After lunch, the afternoon will be spent in Old City Jerusalem exploring the Western Wall and walking down the Via Dolorosa into the Holy Sepulcher Church.

Day 7: December 26

Depart for airport and return home.
