Day 1
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport and transfer to a guest house in the Sea of Galilee region.
Day 2
Your New Testament tour begins with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and learning about early boat construction at Yigal Allon Center. Additional biblical sites toured this morning include the site where Jesus healed the man lowered through the roof and where Jesus appeared to His disciples after His resurrection. After a traditional Middle Eastern lunch, your afternoon will include visiting Magdala and the Jordan River for a baptism opportunity.
Day 3
The Mt of Beatitudes is the day’s first stop followed by a visit to the Mt of Transfiguration with scenic observation of the Jezreel Valley. Exploring the beautiful Wedding Church in Cana ends the morning. An Old-Testament style lunch is served in a traditional Nazareth village followed by a tour of the ancient Nazareth village. The afternoon is spent on foot, walking through Nazareth to visit the Virgin Mary Fount and the Church of Annunciation where Gabriel appeared to Mary to announce her divine pregnancy. Shopping opportunities are available.
Day 4
Departing the Tiberias region, you will tour the Mediterranean coastline starting with Caesarea and the ancient port city of Jaffa, enjoying fresh caught fish and seafood for lunch. After spending the afternoon in Jaffa, you will be taken to your hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 5
Make sure you have good walking shoes for today’s adventure! Experience the breathtaking panoramic view of Jerusalem and the Mt of Olives. The morning’s tour includes the Ascension place of Christ, and Pater Noster where the Lord’s Prayer was taught, Dominus Flevit where Jesus described the destruction of the temple, the Garden of Gethsemane, and Virgin Mary’s tomb. A traditional lunch is hosted in Old City Jerusalem. The afternoon begins walking down the Via Dolorosa and ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the site of Jesus’ crucifixion, death, and resurrection. The Light Show at the David Citadel is an optional evening activity.
Day 6
A short drive will bring you to the historic Ein Karem village where you will visit the house of John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation marking the location where the Virgin Mary stayed with Elizabeth. A traditional Middle Eastern lunch will be enjoyed in Bethlehem. Then at the Nativity Church, you will visit the site of Jesus’ birth. Your day will end at Emmaus. Shopping opportunities are available.
Day 7
Departure for airport and return home.
