After a recuperative night’s rest and a relaxing breakfast, your guide will lead you into the depths of the ancient city of Nazareth. You will visit the Church of Annunciation where the Virgin Mary was informed of her divine calling by the angel Gabriel, and other sites honoring the mother of Jesus. Evening activities include Christmas tree viewing, live music, hand-made craft shopping, and educational experiences.

Highlights: Wedding and Miracle at Cana, Mt of Transfiguration, Mt of Beatitudes

You will walk on the ground where the miracles and teachings of Christ took place. The morning begins at the Wedding Church at Cana, where you can renew your wedding vows, if you choose. After visiting the Mt of Transfiguration, you will enjoy lunch on the pier in Tiberias followed by a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. The afternoon is spent at locations like the Mt of Beatitudes and the 12 Apostles Church. You will then depart for Bethlehem for the remainder of your trip.

Explore the sweet town of Bethlehem for an entire day. Take time to reflect at the Church of the Nativity, the proposed birthplace of Jesus. The open spaces of Shepherd’s Field will stir your imagination. A visit to Theodosius Monastery, where the Three Wise Men rested and gathered strength for their journey, completes the afternoon. The evening is spent caroling and handing out gifts in Manger Square.

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport and transfer to a guest house in the Sea of Galilee region.

Your pilgrimage begins with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and learning about early boat construction at Yigal Allon Center. Additional biblical sites toured this morning include the site where Jesus healed the man lowered through the roof and the Church of the Multiplication. After a traditional Middle Eastern lunch, your afternoon will include visiting Magdala and the Jordan River for a baptism opportunity. Choose between two mass opportunities: Church of the Multiplication or Jordan River Baptism site.

The Mt of Beatitudes is the day’s first stop followed by a visit to the Mt of Transfiguration with scenic observation of the Jezreel Valley. Exploring the beautiful Wedding Church in Cana ends the morning. An Old-Testament style lunch is served in a traditional Nazareth village followed by a tour of the ancient Nazareth village. The afternoon is spent on foot, walking through Nazareth to visit the Virgin Mary Fount and the Church of Annunciation where Gabriel appeared to Mary to announce her divine pregnancy. Today’s hidden treasure is the beauty of the Mediterranean coastline. Your morning pilgrimage includes a short drive to Haifa to visit Stella Carmel followed by a tour of Muhraqa, the place of Elijah’s sacrifice. After lunch, you will enjoy a walking tour of the Caesarea National Park and Aqueduct. The ancient port city of Jaffa welcomes you after a short drive, and your afternoon is spent exploring Jaffa. Following a fresh seafood dinner, you will travel to Jerusalem for hotel check-in. Choose between two mass opportunities: Stella Carmel or Muhraqa.

The morning’s tour includes the Ascension place of Christ, and Pater Noster where the Lord’s Prayer was taught, Dominus Flevit where Jesus described the destruction of the temple, the Garden of Gethsemane, and Virgin Mary’s tomb. A traditional lunch is hosted in Old City Jerusalem. The afternoon begins walking down the Via Dolorosa and ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the site of Jesus’ crucifixion, death, and resurrection. Your first morning in the Holy Land will be spent touring the Galilee area starting with a refreshing boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Sites of interest for your day include the Mt of Beatitudes for prayer and Tabgha where Jesus fed the multitude. Then a visit to the Twelve Apostles Church, a lovely orthodox church in Capernaum, honors the location where most of Jesus’ ministry took place. After enjoying a traditional Middle Eastern lunch, the afternoon concludes with a visit to the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee, the site of the Miracle of the Gadarenes at Kursi.

Take in the beauty of the fertile Jezreel Valley from the Church of Transfiguration on Mt Tabor to begin your day. Exploring the beautiful Wedding Church in Cana ends the morning. Today’s highlights include meeting His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III as you visit the headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate. After taking the blessing, there is a detailed tour and time of reflection and prayer in the Holy Sepulcher Church and Holy Tomb. A delicious Middle Eastern lunch will be enjoyed near Jaffa Gate. The afternoon’s adventures include a visit to Byzantine Cardo Street, the wide wall from Hezekiah’s era, and the Western Wall. An optional dinner is available at the Notre Dame Hotel, which offers an exceptional view of Old City Jerusalem at night.

A cable car will deliver you to Mt of Temptation where lunch is served overlooking the spectacular city of Jericho. Relaxing at the Dead Sea will leave you refreshed and revived. Enjoy a light dinner in Jericho before driving back to Jerusalem.
