A pale yellow or amber-colored liquid with a heavy, sweet-woody, spicy-animal odor, nard oil was used by Mary to anoint the feet of Jesus. The gospel of John 12 tells us that nard was a costly perfume. Nard oil is said to have calming effects on the nervous system, especially when applied to the bottom of the feet.
Suggested Uses: Apply topically to the bottom of the feet for neurological issues or sleep problems. May also be applied topically and used for meditation and prayer.
