“My wife and I had an amazing time in the Holy Land. All the planning went smoothly, and the trip went off without a hitch. Our tour guide and driver, Joe (the co-founder), was a local and very knowledgeable about the history, religion, and politics of the most complicated area on Earth. He was able to share both a local’s insight into the day-to-day life in Jerusalem and an expert’s knowledge of the many eras of the city’s expansion, construction, and reconstruction. Because it was just my wife and I, Joe was able to ask us if we ever wanted to go off of the itinerary and do anything else that interested us. One morning we were even able to eat breakfast at a kind local Palestinian man’s house, which was wonderful. He was even able to switch two days of the itinerary after the weather restricted one of the days and nothing was missed. He always took us to good local food places, even when our diets really restricted his options. Overall, I’d recommend Balsam to everyone and we’d especially recommend Joe as a tour guide!
